Excellent food. Great setting, decor, and service.
Tapas at its best! Barcelona has it all. The owners managed to set up a beautiful and functional environment despite the limited space, and filled it with authentic Spanish decor. The service is great, the food delicious, and the sangria is to die for! For those of us not overly experienced with traditional Spanish tapas, the front section of the menu has pre-arranged tapas meals that you can choose from, instead of spending an hour picking and choosing. Overall, a great dining experience, highly recommended.
I am a black woman who went into this store with a white gentleman friend to choose some items for Valentine's Day. A short blonde woman was in this store alone. She was very rude to me and it was obvious that she had a problem with my interracial relationship. Her comments to us were inappropriate and so upset us that we left before the situation got out of hand. We spent over $500.00 at Her's Lingerie in Bloor West Village and were treated with the dignity and respect we deserve. If you are a person of colour, do not shop at Simply Chic because you are not good enough to be in their store.
Consistently good food on a varied menu with nightly features. Good wine list with a reasonable markup. Friendly service. You can dine very well, with a bottle of wine, for $100 to $120. This hard to find in this overpriced town.
